About Us
Richard Hopkins
Founder and Principal
Town & Country Wills was created in January 2019 by Founder and Principal Richard Hopkins. It was recognised by Richard that customers living in Towns & Villages had poor access to legal services and travel to a high street solicitor was expensive and time consuming. Customer feedback had suggested that visits to client' homes to take instructions had become preferrable, convenient, less formal and cheaper too, than a trip to a solicitor' offices.
Making a Will or planning a legacy is an important step to take and not to be considered lightly. Customers are worried about two major obstacles; The quality of the service and security of the payments. Richard is a qualified Willwriter with 14 years legal experience and a further 22 years in property and Financial Services industries. Richard is a member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters, which is a significant accreditation that cannot be bought only earned. There is a strict entrance exam and continuing professional development (CPD) is required to maintain membership. Town & Country Wills has Trading Standards status and complies with their rigorous Code of Conduct with respect to client money and payments. Professional Indemnity Insurance is held at 2 Million pounds. Customers can have confidence in trading with Town and Country Wills. Look out for the IPW and Trading Standards Logos. Not all Willwriters are the same.
